Comparing

For today's blog, I couldn't think about any good idea at first. I had to think about it for more than ten minutes, and then, I came up with this idea. I want to compare my freshman year to my sophomore year even though my sophomore hasn't finished yet. So, how was my freshman year? I think it was pretty fun. It was my first year at Webb and in America; There were a lot of changes for me. I met lots of new friends and new teachers. I also learned a new style of studying. I took ELL 2, Chemistry, Honors Geometry, Piano, and ELL World History last year. ELL 2 included two parts of different studies: literature and grammar. We read books and we learned different types of grammar. It was really fun, and I really liked my class because my classmates were so fun and nice. Chemistry was hard at first semester because many words were unfamiliar to me, and it was hard to understand. But after I got used to it, it was much easier. Honors Geometry was definitely my favorite class, and my teacher was so enthusiastic and professional. Even though we had a lot of homework, it was really helpful in improving my ability. ELL World History was easy and simple. Other parts of my last year were pretty good, too. There were more Korean students in school compared to now, so it was fun. This year, I also met not as many people but made some more new friends. My roommate and I got closer even though we were close last year. She is definitely my best friend in this school. I'm taking ELL 3, English 2, Honors Algebra 2, Honors Physics, World History 2, Speech, Ethics, and Piano. All I can say is, everything is way harder than last year, and so is my life. It's so hard to keep it up with all classes, but I have to. I thought sophomore year would be easy, but that was a misunderstanding. I feel pretty afraid about next year (junior year) because it's going to be even harder. I know there is no way to avoid it, so just I'm going to work harder.

So, my conclusion is: freshman year was better, honestly.

My New Year's Resolutions

"Every end is just a new beginning. Keep your spirits and determination unshaken and you shall always walk the glory road. With courage, faith and efforts you shall conquer everything you desire. I wish you a very happy new year"!

Like everyone, I always make New Year resolutions in the beginning of the year. I have three resolutions this year.
First, losing weight: I know.. I've been trying to achieve success on this resolution since I was in elementary school, but I have never reached it. But it's going to be different this time. I'm going to make it this year. I'm going to try to stop eating fast food, and I'm not going to eat any foods or have any drinks after 6 p.m, except water.
Second, finish reading the Bible: I have been christian since I was born and I have never finished reading the Bible. Therefore, I'm going to try hard to finish it. I will make a specific plan and follow it.
Third, finish SAT: Actually, I have to finish it. I can't say I want to finish the SAT this year because the SAT is going to be different after next Jan. or March. So, I must finish it unless I want to study the whole new thing in the second semester of my junior year. When I go back to Korea in this summer, I'm going to put all of my effort into studying for the SAT(or ACT). My goal is get a higher score than 2100. I know it's going to be really hard for me but I'll try hard to make it.
These are my New Year resolutions and I hope I will be able to say, "I have done everything that I wanted to do this year."
